About
Kristin Voth is a Vancouver-based mixed-media artist who grew up between the mountains and the ocean in the Fraser Valley. She gravitates towards small things that are often overlooked. Beauty hidden in unsuspected places, like moss growing from the cracks in the sidewalk or the universally familiar faces in family photo albums. She loves to travel the world in search of quiet beauty.

Some themes addressed by her artwork include recollection, alienation, and promise. Her medium of choice is mixed media acrylic painting, and she is nurturing a developing interest in cyanotype printing. Kristin’s work is deeply informed by her study of English literature and theology. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Trinity Western University and a Master of Arts in theology and the arts from Regent College.

Kristin works out of a shared studio in Vancouver’s DTES community and facilitates workshops and art classes for children and youth in the Lower Mainland. She has been delighted to join her loves of art and words through collaborating with the Vancouver-based Open Book Art Collective, an art-collective/book-club hybrid that seeks to create dialogue between literature and art objects.
